Saturday 6 June 2015 choreographer Tomoko Stalpers-Kato (JP) will present her site-specific dance piece I See What I See at De Fabriek in Eindhoven, Baarsstraat 38.
Entry is free and open to the public. I See What I See will take place at 8.00 pm, followed by a short film presentation about the sources of inspiration for the piece.
I See What I See, an active collaboration between the choreographer and dancers, explores the performers’ spontaneous expression of certain aspects of Japanese culture within their movement. Stalpers-Kato also drew upon influences from her childhood in Japan for the choreography, and music has been specially composed to accompany the work.
Tomoko Stalpers-Kato moved from Belgium to the Netherlands in 2010. She started her own dance school in 2011 and completed a Master of Choreography at Fontys Dance Academy in 2013. She is currently active both as a choreographer and as a teacher of modern dance and ballet.
